Following his acclaimed US tour, legendary keyboard virtuoso Rick Wakeman returns to the Main House stage for an extraordinary evening of music, this time alongside his son, Oliver Wakeman. While the pair have occasionally shared a stage before, this is your first chance to experience their brand-new UK show, Wakeman & Son.
Both celebrated musicians in their own right, Rick and Oliver share a remarkable musical heritage. Each has performed with progressive rock icons Yes and The Strawbs, and together they bring decades of musical mastery to this unique live performance. The evening promises a rich musical journey, from classics rooted in their shared history to highlights from their latest recordings. Expect breathtaking keyboard performances, captivating musical storytelling, and the rare chemistry that comes from a father-and-son partnership.
Alongside his work with legendary bands, Oliver Wakeman has built an impressive solo career, releasing critically acclaimed albums and collaborating with renowned musicians including Clive Nolan, Steve Howe, and Gordon Giltrap. His creative projects also span poetry recordings with distinguished Shakespearean actor Derek Jacobi and visual collaborations with celebrated fantasy artist Rodney Matthews.
Rick Wakeman says 'It's always an honour for me to share the stage with one of my wonderful children. For the first time, it's a thrill to be touring with my eldest son Oliver. I know it will be very special-especially if, on the odd occasion, he buys me dinner'.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to see two legendary keyboard players perform together live. An unforgettable night of virtuoso musicianship, family connection, and progressive rock history awaits.
