The Foxton Centre's Friday Art Group are hosting their second exhibition.
Since January 2023, The Harris has been working in partnership with The Foxton Centre, delivering an art project every Friday. Getting together to make art that helps the artist feel good, to inspire each other, and feel a buzz from it all.
In this exhibition, the group's art has been inspired by the collections of the Harris. That's anything from art to textiles, history to sculpture, books to ceramics. Expect lots of colour and bold pieces of art that are guaranteed to uplift you.
Selected pieces of art will be for sale and available to buy just in time for your Christmas shopping. Plus, a percentage of the money made will go to supporting the Foxton Centre with future projects just like this one, so you can feel extra good when you buy.
The Foxton Centre is a Preston-based charity with a longstanding commitment to working with the local community to support young people and adults.
The Harris is a museum, library and art gallery in Preston is currently closed until 2025, whilst undergoing a £16 million project to restore and reimagine the building. Meanwhile, the centre are working closely with local community groups like The Foxton Centre to engage people with the Harris' collections and strengthen the links made with community partners.
