Join a summer walk from Heysham Nature Reserve to Red Nab.
At this time of year bird song seems louder at the Heysham Nature Reserve with the arrival of migratory birds like warblers. Setting off from Heysham's car park, you will head down the landscape strip towards the coast and Red Nab, listening as you go. The incoming tide on Morecambe Bay, will bring in many birds to see and identify.
This event is for families, and it is important to wrap up warm and be prepared to walk for around fifteen minutes to the shore and then back again. The walk will take place in most weathers but you will be advised if the forecast is too bad.
You can walk back at any time if you need to and there are options to meet up nearer Red Nab if you can't do the walk. Once you book, do get in touch if you have any questions. Please bring along any binoculars you have, but there will also be binoculars you can borrow.
Please note: this session takes place in an outdoor location, you are advised to bring waterproof clothing and footwear to ensure you stay dry and warm. Supervision of children is always required. Toilet facilities are only available at the start and end of the walk.
