Painting Padiham returns on Saturday 16 May 2026, bringing a full day of creativity to the town centre.
Watch professional and amateur artists as they create original paintings inspired by Padiham and its people, all produced in just one day. Working in a wide range of painting styles and media, artists will be set up across the town, transforming streets, spaces and landmarks into open-air studios.
Visitors can follow the artists' trail, see artworks come to life, and chat with artists as they work.
At the end of the day, completed artworks will be submitted for judging, with winners announced the following week. All pieces will then be displayed in a three-week exhibition at the Picture House Gallery, where visitors will also have the opportunity to purchase original artworks.
Alongside the art, visitors can enjoy free craft activities, face painting for children, and vintage bus rides to Gawthorpe Hall, making Painting Padiham a perfect day out for the whole family.
