Glassmonkey Fused Glass - fun and functional glassware for any occasion.
1711 Jewellery - exquisite, handcrafted sterling silver jewellery, incorporating fine gemstones and glass.
Making fused glassware using predominantly Bullseye art glass - practical items such as bowls, plates, dishes, candle holders and large scale wall art as well as a range of unique sterling silver jewellery. The studio is located close to Burnley town centre, the motorway (M65) and rail networks and has ample car parking.
Shop/gallery - the studio has a small shop/gallery area where you can purchase the glass and jewellery. Also stocking jewellery by Angie Da Silva, art work by Sarah Jane Clements as well as some stunning greeting cards by individual artists. All work on sale in this Studio has been made by individual artists. With the exception of some of the greeting cards, all of the work is produced locally and each piece is unique. By purchasing from the studio, you will be supporting local artists and small local businesses.
Workshops and courses - you can experience the magic of fusing glass for yourself at the well equipped studio. Offering half day taster sessions and full day workshops as well as six week courses. You can also create your own unique pieces of silver jewellery using precious metal clay on the one day Silver Clay Workshops.
Half day fusing taster workshop - you will learn the basics of glass cutting and be guided through making a selection of fused glass items such as a coaster, a hanging decoration or tealight holder.
Full day introduction to glass fusing - If you are new to fusing, the full day introduction will teach you basic techniques and then guide you through a series of small projects including coasters, a hanging decoration and a wall panel.
Full day glass fusing - if you have tried fusing before and want to move on to larger pieces or to experiment on an individual project, then this could be the workshop for you.
Six week fused glass project - six weekly two hour sessions are available. During the six weeks, you will be taught various techniques of glass fusing which will enable you to design and create your own project.
Group and corporate events - if you need a class put together just for you, these can be tailored to make an exclusive event to suit your needs and time frame - family parties, team building exercises or hospitality events.
