The brainchild of Martyn Ware and born from the collapse of the original Human League, 80's synth pioneers Heaven 17 have stood the test of time and been an influence on the future of modern music for over forty years. Their debut 1981 album, Penthouse and Pavement, was, and remains, a modern classic. It was ranked the fufth best album of the year by New Musical Express.
Their next album, The Luxury Gap, in 1983 was their pop masterpiece, the moment when everything just clicked into place to devastating effect and featured Come Live With Me, Crushed By The Wheels of Industry, Let Me Go and Temptation which reached number two in the UK charts in May 1983.
Glenn Gregory and Martyn Ware continue to perform the hits from their overwhelming back catalogue, including Temptation and (We Don't Need This) Fascist Groove Thang and they are looking forward to a return to Lowther Pavilion following their sold out show in May 2023.
