Lowther Cinema: McCartney – The Hunt for the Lost Bass
A remarkable true story for music fans and Beatles lovers alike. This documentary follows the decades-long mystery surrounding the first bass guitar owned by Paul McCartney – the iconic 1961 Höfner instrument that helped power the early sound of The Beatles. Stolen in 1972 and missing for more than 50 years, the instrument became one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in rock history.
