If you think you can't draw... you probably can!
Come along to our free basic drawing skills workshop to learn to create pictures of some of the birds you'll see here at Martin Mere.
In our sessions, you'll be learning how to use pencils for sketching and completing drawings, how shapes we use every day can help us make art and get tips and hints to improve your artwork.
These workshops are suitable for 8-year-olds upwards (you will need to stay with your child), although slightly younger people may be able to take part with a bit more support - and adult participation is encouraged because art's not just for kids!
These workshops will be led by our volunteer Rita, who hated doing art when she was younger but has learned to paint and draw as an adult. She is passionate about encouraging people of all ages to have a go at being creative and, although she has had success in selling her art, she's currently focussing on writing and illustrating a series of children's books.
Please note: normal admission prices into the centre apply, with members entering free.
