Without any shadow of devilling, Clayton is one of the best and most famous female folk singers this country has produced in the past forty years.
She first came to prominence when she was a member of cult folk band Ragged Heroes. After departing that band she went on to forge huge, successful solo career. Her set on the night will consist of some of her own original material. She has released eight critically acclaimed solo albums to date. She will be also playing contemporary and traditional folk songs. Vikki Clayton is widely recognized as a premier interpreter of Sandy Denny's material, specifically noted for a voice that echoes Sandy Denny's style.
