Welcome to the Wonderful World of Wine tasting on Australia and New Zealand, to taste intense, complex and powerful wines from the other side of the world.
Australia is home to varied and very different wine-making regions. From the hot Barossa Valley which produces rich, chocolatey and peppery Shiraz, to the cooler Margaret River which produces elegant Cabernets and Sauvignon Blancs. And, from Clare/Eden Valley, famous for its deliciously crisp dry Rieslings, to the honeyed Semillons from Victoria and Hunter valley. In this tasting we will try great wines from the very best locations in Australia.
New Zealand has raised the benchmark for Sauvignon Blanc and now, in many eyes, has wines that rival that of the French. We will taste some of the best Sauvignon Blanc wines that New Zealand produce. Pinot Noir is another wine at which New Zealand excels, with Central Otago and Martinborough leading the way. You won't be disappointed.
