Kanteena are very happy to be having Violetta back. After supporting The Orb, Violetta has been just about all over Europe on a tour all of her own, and now they are ready to welcome her back in the headliner position. Rooted in natural soundscapes and highlighting the fragility of the environment, singer and violinist Violeta Vicci is a multi-faceted contemporary classical and electronic artist.
Barcelona born, London based, Violeta spends a lot of time in Switzerland where she takes her inspiration from. She's opened for the Orb's extensive UK tour, Marconi Union and System7 and collaborated with artists like Thom Yorke, Clint Mansell, Elbow, Fontaines DC, Jonny Greenwood, Liam Gallagher, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Hauschka and Bat For Lashes. Her music has received national and international radio play on BBC Radio 3, BBC 6 Music, RAI3, RNE, KEXP, Dublab, Radio Hanover and she has performed at The Royal Albert Hall, Paris Philharmonie, Club Paradiso and festivals such as British Summer Time, SGP and Glastonbury. Violeta started playing the violin aged four and gave her concert debut aged fifteen. She moved to London to study at the Royal Academy of Music and has released three studio albums to date. Her debut album Autovia, produced by legendary Martin Glover 'Youth', bridges the gap between the acoustic and electronic worlds. Her second solo album Mirror Images' has been hailed by the Strad Magazine as 'A remarkable concept album' and her third album Cavaglia, takes to translating a pristine Swiss valley and its surrounding lakes and glaciers, into music. In 2020 she started 'Live Music in Nature' a series of live-streamed concerts performed in beautiful natural locations combining strings, voice and effect pedals to create a soundtrack to nature.
'Powerful', Sarah Mohr-Pietsch, BBC Radio 3.

'Extraordinary Album', Ecki Eckert Stieg, Radio Hanover.
