This event is a must for every fan of the bestselling novel The Familiars, set at Gawthorpe Hall in the early 17th century. Discover the real 17th century Gawthorpe brought to life by costumed reenactors, they will show what everyday life was like for women and men of the period. Plus during the afternoon, Stacey Halls author of The Familiars will be talking about her inspiration for the novel and its characters, how important Lancashire is as the setting for the story and what she is writing next. Stacey will also be available for book signings – bring your own or you can buy the newly published paperback version in the shop.
