A talk looking at the origins of the Society of Friends, also known as The Quakers, and the influence of George Fox in the north of England.
Join a fascinating talk about The Quakers or The Society of Friends and its long connections to the north of England. From George Fox's vision on Pendle Hill to his time spent imprisoned in Lancaster Castle, and the many Friends meeting houses in the area. There is a long history of Quaker connections to the north of England. Gregory Wright, an award-winning Blue Badge Guide who specialises in the history of Lancaster and surrounding area, will talk through this fascinating movement, its influence and history in Lancashire and beyond.
This talk is in Servant's Hall in the basement, down one flight of stairs inside or flat access from outside.
