Slow Stitch Drop-In

Looking to learn a new skill in a relaxed, social environment? Look no further than our new Slow Stitch Drop-In sessions. Taking place weekly, these sessions are purposely designed to teach you new stitching skills whilst offering maximum flexibility and a fun, social atmosphere! No experience is needed, and each session you will receive guidance on various techniques and skills. You don't have to attend every week, or stay for the whole session. Just drop on by whenever you can make it, and work at your own pace. There are some low intensity goals that you could work towards throughout the sessions including: - Learning to feel comfortable using a needle and thread to decorate or mend an item. - Build a stitch 'library' for themselves with actual samples. - Have a go at a stitch technique each week - mending, patching/applique, buttons etc. - Design and begin stitching a small project. You can continue working on your goals at home, or work towards them with a member of staff. All materials will be made available, and you can bring your own if preferred. So whether you want to learn a new skill, refine your techniques, meet new people, or just relax with a hobby, these sessions could be for you.
