Silver School of Arms at Gawthorpe Hall

Discover historic weapons, armour and sword fighting when the Silver School of Arms visit Gawthorpe Hall.

On guard.  From giant broad swords to elegant rapiers the in-costume experts have swords and historical armaments on display from all periods of history.  You can try some (careful) weapons handling, find out more about swordsmanship and see live sword fighting demonstrations during the afternoon, by members of the Silver School of Arms.

Sword fighting demonstrations at 13:00, 14:00 and 15:00 (weather dependant.  If it is raining or too wet, the demonstrations will not go ahead).
