Commemorate Black History Month with poet Dr Robert Bullock examining the story of Sambo, a young Black man buried at Sunderland Point. Robert's poem, Respect This Lonely Grave, was based on research about Black Yorkshire and Lancashire residents during the long eighteenth century. Lancashire Stories is a collection of short stories celebrating folktales, mythology , heritage , people and places that make up the Red Rose County.
Lancashire Stories has been funded by Arts Council England's Project Grant fund, as well as match funding from Lancashire County Council, Blackpool Council and Blackburn with Darwen Council.
