Promenade Concert Orchestra - Those Were The Days

The Promenade Concert Orchestra - Those were the Days.

Those were the Days began life on the wireless, almost by accident, but survived almost 40 years in one form or another! Originally on the Forces Programme, it moved to the Light programme and then Radio 2, and regularly ran for over 25 years as it played dance music from a huge repertoire, and for 23 years, performed by Harry Davidson and his Orchestra, and succeeded by Sidney Davey. The PCO will relive a selection from the original programmes covering the entire genre and period.
