Pick up your camera, capture a beautiful wetland moment at WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre, and submit it to this year’s photography competition. Your photo can be of anything that celebrates wetlands. It could be of a wetland landscape, a close up of a wetland species, black and white or full colour, it’s your choice.
The competition is free to enter and open to all UK residents. You have until midnight on 16 August 2024 to enter. Photos can be taken with any camera (with the exception of drones), including phone cameras, but must have been taken at WWT Martin Mere.
Competition categorues are adult:(ages 18 years and above) and junior (ages 13 - 17 years). The winners of each age category will be given free individual annual WWT memberships. Existing members will be given free renewal for the following year. Terms and conditions apply.
Martin Mere will host an exhibition with the winners, runner ups, and shortlisted entries on display from September to October 2024.

Follow A59 towards Preston. Through Burscough Village turn left immediately after the railway bridge onto Red Cat Lane. Follow for one mile, Martin Mere is on left.
Nearest railway station is Burscough Bridge station. Martin Mere is 1.5 miles from station. Signposted walk, approximately 30 mins, or can get taxi from Burscough Village. Cyclists are always welcome at Martin Mere.
The centre is signposted from Junction 8, M61, Junction 3 on M58 and Junction 27 on M6.
