Nine-year-old Pippi is strong, brave and fearless. When she comes to live in her new home with her monkey and horse but with no parents and no rules, she brings mischief, chaos and confusion to the folk of this ordinary and traditional town.
This playful and quirky solo storytelling performance, with audience participation, introduces children to Astrid Lindgren’s much-loved Pippi Longstocking, ‘the strongest girl in the world’. Created for you by Olivier award-winning director Helena Middleton, with original music by Brook Tate and adapted for stage by acclaimed storyteller Danyah Miller.
Find out why the self-sufficient, quick-witted, and generous Pippi has inspired fans the world over, including Lauren Child, Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, and Cerys Matthews, to name just a few.

Partner of Visit Lancashire 2018Morecambe, Lancaster and the Lune Valley is located in Lancashire, in the Northwest of England. Exit the M6 Motorway at Junction 34 and follow signs for Lancaster. Join the one way system (Caton Road) and pass small retail park on left on approach to traffic lights. Turn left following signs for Lancaster City Centre. Once on the one-way system keep in the left-hand lane and follow the brown heritage signs for The Dukes.
Turn left from railway station, follow signs to city centre and walk through pedestrianised shopping area, past Boots and cross Great John Street over to Moor Lane where The Dukes is situated.
