Enjoy a trip down memory lane at Judges Lodgings Museum as we look back on Lancaster and Morecambe in the 20th century.
Original footage shows days out at the beach, along the prom and at the Winter Gardens in Morecambe in the 1940s. Then there are large crowds watching pedal powered cars racing in the Morecambe Soap Box Derby of the 1950s.
Watch films from the archives showing events in Lancaster in preparation for the 1953 coronation, the opening of the M6 and the inside working of local businesses like the specialist stain-glass making at Shrigley & Hunt. Earlier footage shows Morecambe and Lancaster troops preparing to go to the First World War and the famous Assizes courts of Lancaster Castle. Not to be missed!
