Heritage and History in Practice Exhibition Launch

Step into the past at the Heritage and History in Practice Exhibition Launch, a collaborative showcase of family history, photographs and personal archives brought to life through research.  Developed at the University of Lancashire, this project has brought together community participants and researchers to explore how everyday heritage materials can be transformed into engaging public history.

The exhibition features a variety of participant-created displays, including visual exhibits, short written pieces and interpretive narratives that connect personal stories to wider historical themes.  From local lives to broader social change, the displays reveal how individual experiences contribute to our understanding of history.  This free event offers an accessible and inspiring introduction to heritage research and invites visitors to reflect on the stories within their own families and communities.
