Learn about some of the edible and medicinal plants growing in the local area with Danielle Kay Medical Herbalist. Danielle will lead you on a gentle route around Hurst Green, starting from the Shireburn Arms. Get closer to nature, discover the wonder of the weeds and give your tastebuds a treat with a taste of the wild as Danielle demonstrates how to use foraged fruits to prepare syrups & elixir.
Make a night of it by staying over at The Shireburn Arms and enjoying a seasonal dinner in this cosy inn. Dog friendly rooms available.

About Danielle:
Danielle Kay is a medical herbalist and runs a busy herbal medicine practice at The Old Grammar School in Earby. She is a keen forager and loves introducing people the the medicinal and edible qualities of local wild 'weeds'. She has created 'Pendle Witch Tea Company' which blends a diverse range of high quality herbal teas. She co-teaches 'Weeds and Wild Medicine' a hands-on course on hedgerow herbalism through the seasons at Offshoots Permaculture Project in Burnley. She has led lots of walks, workshops and talks on natural health and wellbeing and can often be found in amongst the hedgerows picking the latest seasonal treats.
