Every Tuesday and Thursday, join one of the expert volunteers for a guided walk around our reserve.
The wetlands are full of activity as the months get colder, and the centre is joined by migratory birds, such as the pink-footed geese, shelducks, and wigeons. For an additional activity during your visit, take part in a guided winter walk around our grounds and reserve, with one of the expert volunteers. They'll tell you all about the history of our site and the wildlife you can see as you explore, including information about the amazing whooper swans and their amazing migration journey from Iceland to Martin Mere. You'll also be given some tips and tricks on bird watching and how to identify certain species around the reserve.
Guided walks may at times be muddy, so suitable footwear is advised. Meeting point is the Discovery Hide.
