Uplifting, energetic and a joy to watch Galliard bring the past to life and show how people loved to dance and have fun then, just like now.
Linking in with our exhibition 'An Account of Life: Gawthorpe Hall in the 1600s' the Galliard Folk dancers will be performing a range of dances in period costume that date from the mid-1600s onwards. There is always an opportunity to join in and have a go yourself.
Performance times will be approximately at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm, outside at the front of the Hall (weather dependant, if it rains performances will be in the Long Gallery on the 2nd floor).
