Written & Directed by Mark Jones
A world premiere play telling the true-life story of Emmeline Pankhurst, one of the pioneers of the Suffragette movement.
In the early part of the 20th Century, Pankhurst founded a movement to fight for women to have the vote. She advocated direct action, "deeds not words", rather than peaceful protest to achieve their aims.
A controversial and important figure, this play tells her story from growing up in Manchester without a vote to running for Parliament in London, with the actions she took, the tactics she used and the effect this had on those around her.
