A century of swing with the down for the count all-stars

Join Down for the Count All-Stars, the UK’s hardest swinging band, for “one hellova celebration of vintage music” (TimeOut London) as they celebrate A Century of Swing! The band are set to bring the sounds and vibes of the nation’s best jazz clubs to the Lancaster Grand this Spring!

A Century of Swing is an electrifying show full of incredible energy, musicianship, and the 10-piece band's signature wry wit and humour. Combine that with top-class instrumental solos, sublime vocal performances and irresistible warmth and joie de vivre, and you get an unforgettable night that will leave you tapping your toes and grinning from ear to ear.

Come and experience the joy and exuberance of this sensational music, featuring fresh interpretations of instrumental numbers by the likes of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Glenn Miller, vocal classics from singers such as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and Nat‘ King’ Cole, plus new arrangements of Great American Songbook standards penned by members of the band. It’s a night out you won’t forget!

“Awesome!!!” Michael Bublé
