Young Yutick's Adventure Tour: Halloween Special at Queen Street Mill

A 'Yutick' is old Lancashire slang for a beamer, a job that required nimble hands and a good eye for detail, perfect for children to start their first jobs in the mill.

For this Halloween you can visit all dressed up ready to scare and join one of our ghostly guides on a tour of the mill.  Learn some of the jobs that people would have had to do in a late 1800s steam powered mill.  Will you be a weaver?  An overlooker?  Or a firebeater?  Throughout the tour children will be encouraged to take part in helping their guide perform demonstrations, so be ready to get hands-on for your first day at t'mill.  At the end, participating children will be awarded their certificate and their day's 'wage'.  So, book now and don't miss out on your chance to learn more about Lancashire's textile industry with this fun, hands-on experience.

Please note: adult guardians will have to stay with the tour group throughout.  Additionally, a limit of two adults/guardians per booking is requested so that the tour can stay focused on the younger members experience.  There is a maximum of 12 children per tour.  Under four year olds are free and do not need to be booked on.
