Following the smash hit show Peter Pan at Blackpool Opera House this year, 2018 will see audiences following the yellow brick road to spend an unforgettable Christmas with Dorothy and her friends in the merry old land of Oz as the musical adventure The Wizard of Oz will have performances running from Friday 7 December to Sunday 30 December 2018.
After a tornado whisks away a young Kansas farm girl, Dorothy, to the magical land of OZ, she starts her quest to find the mighty Wizard of Oz who has the power to send her home. Along the way she meets a Scarecrow, a Tin man and a Cowardly Lion who help her on her journey. But will she be defeated by the Wicked Witch of the West? You’ll have to come along to find out.
This highly acclaimed adaptation from The Royal Shakespeare Company is produced by the award-winning Selladoor Family, leading producer of mid and large-scale family productions including The Quite Remarkable Adventures of the Owl and the Pussycat, James and the Giant Peach, Guess How Much I Love You and The Broons.
