Sir John Savile’s Household are back at Hoghton Tower for two days of encampment, living history, demonstrations, drills and more.
Great fun for all the family. The attendance of little knights in armour is encouraged.
10:30 – The Encampment opens – living history displays around the campsite will be taking place throughout the day.
11:00 – first combat demonstration – archery and guns, followed by “Have a go Archery”
12:00 – Lunch break, encampment remains open to view.
13:00 – Mummers style play
14:00 – second combat demonstration – bills and knights, leading on to kids bill drill.
15:00 – gunnery demonstration
Site entry ticket includes gardens.
Tearoom open 11:00 – 16:00 (last entry 15:30)
