Five-course dinner and tasting eight wines including Valpolicella, Valpolicella Superiore, Valpolicella Ripasso, Amarone della Valpolicella and Recioto della Valpolicella matched with traditional dishes from the province of Verona, in the Veneto region of Northern Italy, east of Lake Garda. Any additional drinks which are not part of the wine tasting are not included.
The name itself, Valpolicella, is thought to mean 'valley of many cellars', 'land of many fruits' or 'land of wonders', referring to the region's rich viticultural history and fertile land. And so the scene is set for a fine wine story. Valpolicella, Valpolicella Superiore, Valpolicella Ripasso, Amarone della Valpolicella and Recioto della Valpolicella. These wines are all made with the same grapes (Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara) but the wine-making techniques is what differentiates them. Two producers, Tenuta Casaletti Veneto and Secondo Marco Veneto. Same wines. Same grapes. Same heritage. Same terroir. Yet, each bottle tells a different story.
This unique tasting experience invites you to explore how the philosophy, methods, and personality of a winemaker can shape the expression of the same grape in remarkably distinct ways. Compare, contrast, and discover how passion and craft transform nature into art.
Limited/30 places available.
