August, 1617.  Welcome to a night of festivity and feasting at Hoghton Tower.

Tonight, you are the royal guest of honour.  Step back in time and be part of the moment when King James the First made his legendary progress through Lancashire, and dined in splendour in our grand banqueting hall.

Combining historical re-enactment, Jacobean feasting and entertainment; enjoy a three-course meal, learn about this astounding moment in Lancastrian history and witness the King knighting the Sir Loin of Beef.

Marking the 400-year anniversary of King James's death, this is an unforgettable, immersive dining experience.
