Lawrence Wright was a successful songwriter, composer and music producer who came to Blackpool in the 1920s.
As well as his music, Wright was known for his creation of singing booths to promote his songs and 'On with the show' - a show on North Pier which brought many famous bands and singers to the resort.
Join Showtown for a talk this spring, exploring Lawrence Wright's achievements and his incredible contribution to Blackpool's entertainment industry, delivered by performer Pete Lindup.
This talk will take place on Tue 25 April, 2023 at The Joe Longthorne MBE Museum in Blackpool. Doors open at 1.30pm. Talk: 2pm - 3pm.
