Scandalous Stories from Winckley Square
Scandals come in all shapes and sizes: bedroom, courtroom, drawing room, smoking room, street, workhouse and prison cell all feature.
About this event
Steve Harrison is a founding member of the Friends of Winckley Square (FoWS). He is well known to many of you who have been on FoWS Guided Walks, attended a talk or taken part in Zoom virtual walks.

Steve's talk is highly illustrated and explores a range of scandals which, while drawn from the lives of men and women who lived in the Winckley Quarter, reflect national issues that still resonate today. The scandals will surprise, fascinate and amuse you.

The talk begins promptly at 7.15 doors open 6.45 and is at the Central Methodist Church in Lune Street. Refreshments are available in the coffee bar at the end of the talk and a chance to discuss the scandals. The venue has excellent visibility of the screens and a high-quality audio system. You will sit in seats which were once in the luxurious Gaumont Cinema. Who knows what scandals those seats could share?

You can pay on the door but to be assured of a place better to book on Eventbrite. Problem booking ? Contact patricia@winckley.org.uk
