Relief Printing with Alan Birch - Family Workshop

Join Printmaker Alan Birch at Queen Street Mill Textile Museum for Relief Printing Family Workshops!

Alan Birch has over 15 years' experience working in schools, galleries and creative organisations and is the print specialist at the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester. He is based at Prospect Studios in Waterfoot where he runs regular printmaking workshops.

Alan will be running two Relief Printing Workshops. To start the session, you will be exploring the mill and picking out interesting shapes or patterns that you can print with later. To print, you'll be drawing your shapes and patterns onto wallpaper or metallic card plates, and then using water-based colour you can ink them onto the final product! This workshop is aimed at families, but anyone is welcome to join us and have a go!
