Described as ‘a Diamond of the Dales’. Situated in the foothills of The Three Peaks, the views of Ingleborough, Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside are stunning on a clear day, with a beautiful backdrop of the Lake District Fells. Bentham Golf Course is a picturesque, family-run 18 hole Golf course situated in the Three Peaks area of North Yorkshire which is famous for its wonderful scenery. The stunning views from the course provide a welcome distraction for players who are struggling with their game. The course is a par 71 and measures 6033 yards from the white tees. The course provides a challenging test to golfers of all abilities and has some of the smoothest greens in the area.
Open competitions take place throughout the year. There will be some new features for this year, designed to offer more inclusive competitions for those who are newer to the sport or often penalised for having higher handicaps, as well as those who may be tight on time. Open competitions winners can now enjoy Wenningdale Vouchers, which offer a more flexible way of spending your winnings. These vouchers are redeemable against any service or product operated by Wenningdale Leisure which includes:

From Lancaster and the M6:Come off at Junction 35 on the M6. Turn left at the traffic lights, onto the A683, signposted for Kirkby Lonsdale. Turn right onto the B6480 after you have travelled through Claughton, signposted High Bentham. Continue along the B6480 as it brings you into the middle of Bentham. Turn left after the Co-op (on your left hand side) and continue up Robin Lane. The course is approximately ½ mile up on the right hand side.From Cumbria and the M6:Exit the M6 at Junction 36. Travel along the A65, through Kirkby Lonsdale and into Ingleton. Upon arriving in Ingleton, take the first right and following signs to High Bentham and the Golf Club. The course is on the left hand side shortly after the ‘Welcome to High Bentham’ sign. From Skipton and the A65:Turn off the A65 after Clapham, following signs to High Bentham and The Golf Club. The brown sign at the junction says Riverside/ Golf Club; follow this! Once arriving in Bentham turn right up Robin Lane (against, signposted for the golf club). This turning is just after the Auction Mart but before the Co-op. Then you can’t miss the course as you climb up the hill on Robin Lane. The course is approximately ½ mile up on the right hand side.
Bentham is on the Leeds to Lancaster & Morecambe rail line with a railway station in High Bentham, a 15 minute walk from the golf club. Bentham is served by the Stagecoach Bus route 80 – Lancaster to Ingleton.
