Situated where Lake, Coast and Dale unite, Riverside Caravan Park offers you the chance to escape from the worries of life and immerse yourself in our rural retreat. Whether you’re looking for a short break or a regular bolt hole, Riverside can offer you a blissful hideaway.
Nestled on the banks of the River Wenning in an unspoilt and delightful area, this beautifully maintained caravan park is within walking distance of the local market town of High Bentham.
The caravan park has been owned and managed by the Marshall family since the development from a green field site in the late 1960s. Over the years the park has evolved as the change in customer needs have done so, offering you a modern and fresh holiday location. The facilities are provided for holiday home owners, touring caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents. No tents allowed.
Touring pitches are all level, grassy and well drained, fully serviced hard standing pitches are also available, The fully serviced pitches each boast a water stand pipe and grey waste pipe as well as adjacent gravel space for awnings or seating. All pitches offer electric and TV points and complimentary Wi-Fi is available, accessible through a simple login method.
For further details on Holiday Homes please refer to their website.
The touring pitches are generous in size with lots of space to give you room to enjoy your holiday. The children won’t struggle to burn off excess energy as there is plenty to keep them occupied, adjacent to the reception is the games room, a well prepared safe area for children with a good selection of arcade machines and games. The games room includes pool and table tennis tables as well as an air hockey table. Outside there is also an imaginatively laid out outdoor play area which sits creatively into the hillside.
The sheltered level setting straddling the banks of the River Wenning is truly superb, screened by trees and natural hillsides with excellent walks along the riverbank and in the surrounding countryside. For the more adventurous, the 'Yorkshire Three Peaks', which takes in Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, are very close by.
If walking isn’t your hobby of choice then you certainly won’t be short of other things to do. The River Wenning is ideal for those who enjoy fishing and is stocked regularly to ensure you land your daily catch. For those who prefer coarse fishing, Riverside has its own fishing lake in a peaceful location away from the main bustle of life. Bentham Golf Club is a 7-iron from the park and customers can enjoy half price green fees all year round! Equipment hire, including clubs, is also available if you can’t fit the excess baggage in the car. Cycle hire, pony trekking, arts trails, are just a few additional activities available when you holiday at Riverside Caravan Park.
Bentham itself has plenty to offer with many pubs, takeaways, fish and chip shop plus various sandwich venues to satisfy your appetite. A Co-op and Spar, which are both open from 7am until 10pm daily, as well as local butchers, bakers, greengrocers, a chemist and several boutique stores.
