Join Queen Street Mill for the new Mini Makers Club, the perfect weekly craft session for budding artists aged 5 to 12.
Each Saturday, children can dive into a brand‑new, hands‑on activity, exploring exciting materials, techniques and textures as they create their very own masterpieces. From colourful textiles to natural materials, paper crafts to clay, every week offers something fresh to spark the imagination. All participants are encouraged to express themselves, experiment, and most importantly, have fun.
Upcoming craft themes include:
Saturday 2 May: recycled model building. Transform everyday items into amazing 3D creations.
Saturday 9 May: textile printing. Pattern, stamp and design your own fabric art.
Saturday 16 May: air-dry clay creations. Sculpt unique characters, ornaments and objects.
Saturday 23 May: mini weaving. Learn simple weaving skills and make a mini tapestry.
Saturday 30 May: nature collages. Create beautiful artwork using natural treasures.
Saturday 6 June: friendship bracelets. Braid colourful accessories.
Saturday 13 June: hand and finger painting. Get messy and paint expressive artworks.
Saturday 20 June: popsicle stick picture frames. Build and decorate your own keepsake frame.
Saturday 27 June: paper plate animals. Craft adorable creatures from simple shapes.
Whether your child loves crafting or just wants to try something new, Mini Makers Club is a friendly, creative space to experiment and explore. No two Saturdays are ever the same. The sessions are free, but it is recommended to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
