People inside the architects of air, surrounded by lights.

The National Festival of Making presents Architects of Air’s, Dodecalis Luminarium!

Immerse yourself in a world of light, colour and sound as you are invited to explore the labyrinth known as Dodecalis Luminarium. Inspired by cathedrals and Islamic architecture, the Architects of Air Luminaria, created by artist and maker Alan Parkinson, have amazed three million visitors in over 40 countries across five continents, creating a sense of wonder and enchantment for all ages.

Now, this August for four days only, the monumental inflatable structure is coming to Blackburn. Enter the Luminarium and enjoy a magical journey as you move through the winding paths and vast domes of this monumental, inflatable sculpture.  Handcrafted by a team of five makers, the Luminarium will leave you with a sense of wonder at the beauty of light and colour.  Journey through winding paths and vast domes as a gentle soundscape fills the chambers of this giant inflatable sculpture, for a sensory experience like no other!
