Lavender Rodriguez. Behold, society's chaos blue haired blur menace, Lavender Rodriguez, a force in spinning plates of alt-pop, electronic dance and punk-ish anthemic tunes, bound to rally the masses and hypnotise you into dancing. Their stories celebrate the intersectionality of queerness and being mixed-race as they take you by storm with their genre-bending, head-bopping music. With the rising success of their last singles Sweat, Sunrise and Menace garnering Mayors Artist of the month in 2024, BBC Manchester support and BBC Sussex support, Lavender prepares for the release of their debut EP Blink and You'll Miss Me this June. Having duetted with Rufus Wainwright and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra at the O2 Apollo, opened for Master Peace at the Manchester Academy and ARXX at YES, Lavender is becoming a formidable force spearheading a new era of revolution and sound.
Varicose Veins. Lancaster's folk punk extravaganza, song writing powerhouse Vaz fronts this politically charged feel-good riot. This four piece consists of Lyds on drums, Viola on synth and Faye on bass. Anthemic lyrics driving drums and bass, and synthesiser witchcraft to be expected. You can leave any expectations at the door.
