Meet George, a Manchester filmmaker nursing a broken heart and escaping the demanding, yet dazzling, local scene. He jets off to sunny Turkey, only to literally crash into Melih, a charismatic young Kurd caught between family duty, cultural constraints, and the menacing shadow of "Big Baba," a local crime boss.

What unfolds is a hilarious, chaotic, and heartwarming journey across continents, infused with the unapologetic spirit of Blackpool. From the sun-drenched beaches where the unforgettable trio of Karen, Sharon, and Lisa chase cosmetic dreams, to the bustling bazaars with their endearingly chaotic taxi driver, Ismail, George and Melih navigate a world of cultural clashes and genuine peril. While Blackpool's own fabulous, candy floss-haired drag icon, Dorian Deluxe, proudly embraces her authentic self in a town that celebrates her, Melih's journey reminds us that in other parts of the world, being true to yourself can be a dangerous, even life-threatening, act. Their thrilling flight leads them to vibrant Berlin, fighting for a future where they can finally "Just Be Me."
