HAPPA Wild West Funday

Dust off your cowboy boots and saddle up for the HAPPA Wild West Funday! An action-packed family event at Shores Hey Farm in Briercliffe, Lancashire on Saturday 30th August, 2025. From 11:00am to 4:00pm, the farm will be transformed into a lively Wild West frontier, brimming with exciting activities, games, competitions, and themed entertainment for all ages.

This fun-filled summer event is the perfect day out for families. Featuring a whole host of Wild West themed attractions set against the beautiful countryside backdrop of one of Lancashire's most loved horse rescue farms.

Activities and Attractions

Young cowboys and cowgirls can take the reins in our all-day Hobby Horse Event, where riders will tackle a mini clear round course and earn a rosette for their efforts! If you're looking to burn off some steam, jump into the bouncy castle or show your strength at the High Striker.

Our bustling Western-style village features family-friendly stalls, including the ever-popular Gold Nugget Prospecting – pan for treasure just like the pioneers! Grown-ups can relax at the Saloon Bar, serving up refreshing ice-cold beer and themed cocktails.

Children can unleash their creativity with horse and horseshoe decorating, while adults try their hand at horseshoe throwing. Kids can also take part in the Lasso the Pony challenge. Perfect for budding wranglers.

Embark on the Wild West Trail, a fun family activity guiding you through the farm with clues, facts, and surprises along the way. Plus, this is a great opportunity to see our Rescue Horses!

Kick up your boots at the Silent Disco in the main arena, open to all ages! Choose your music channel, grab your headphones, and dance like no one's watching in true cowboy style.

Bean-Eating Competition (adults only) – Winner receives coffee, cake, and a trophy.
Fancy Dress Showdown – Best Wild West costume wins a £50 voucher!
Draw-a-Horse Contest – Judged by Clive Mayor. Prizes include a trophy and rosette.

Meet real animals with a pony grooming experience between 12:00pm and 2:00pm (limited tickets available from reception), and enjoy a majestic owl display by MMB Falconry.
