The Ghost Tours have been a main stay of our annual events calendar here at the Tower and our resident ghosts would not have been happy if we had not tried to redesign the experience for you in a Covid 19 secure way! So join us to make up your own mind as to whether Hoghton Tower really is the third most haunted house in England!
The 2020 Experience
Ascend the eery drive and enter the misty courtyard. You will be greeted and offered a warming drink before you set off on your ghostly tour. Silent torchbearers will take you, in your groups of six, on the tour through the darkened rooms, where you will be told about the ghostly happenings at the Tower from across the centuries. Footsteps from another time may echo alongside your own, you might feel an odd chill or smell an unusual odour. You might even see or sense something that others do not. Who knows what you will see, hear or even experience….
