Did you know that thousands of archaeological objects are discovered every year by people going about their daily lives? Have you found a mystery object you'd like to identify? Drop in to see the amazing finds liaison officers from Portable Antiquities Lancashire and Cheshire to find out more about your discoveries. There's no need to book.
Don't worry if you can't make it this time. The finds liaison officers plan to be back at the museum again throughout the year, so keep an eye on the events pages for confirmation of dates and times.
The British Museum's Portable Antiquities Scheme exists to record archaeological objects found by members of the public and any finds recorded, 'help advance knowledge of the history and archaeology of England and Wales.'
