Local Legends, Heroes & Villains with Simon Entwistle

From 8pm on Thursday the 3rd of October Simon Entwistle will regale local stories from past and present inside Bowland Beer Hall's intimate Chimney Room.

Sit back and listen as he turns the clock back in time with tales of the 1842 textile riots in Lancashire, and stories of the heroes and villains of the plug drawing riots of that year . Hear of Peg O'Nell whose statue sits on the banks of the River Ribble and her connection to Waddow Hall and of Frank Whittle and his jet Engine project in Clitheroe. Plus more enchanting stories that will have you gripped.

Tickets cost just £17.50 per person, including a choice of steak or cheese pie, chips, peas & brewhouse gravy.
