Be first through the doors of the giant Emmaus Department Store to shop the range of fantastic furniture, homeware, clothes and brand-new goods.
Bring your family and friends to the former home of Debenhams at Fishergate Shopping Centre to check out the new flagship store. You'll be the first to see inside the new Emmaus Department Store, a sustainable social enterprise, raising funds to help people achieve their goals after homelessness.
Meet at the Fishergate high-street entrance at 10:45 to watch the ribbon cutting from a very special guest, from the county of Lancashire. The nation's quizmaster, former BBC Radio 2 presenter, Jay Flynn MBE will be giving out cryptic clues that will lead you on fun-filled challenges around the store. Answer these correctly and you will be in with the chance of winning £100 worth of store vouchers in the opening day prize draw.
There will be a cryptic quiz challenge for young people, with a £50 store voucher up for grabs for the under 18s prize draw winner. Pick up yours on the day or with your family on the opening weekend and have some fun.
Shop smart, save money, do good. See what you can snap up from the world of new and nearly-new kitchen appliances, bedroom furniture sets, sofas, toys, pre-loved home decor and electricals. There will be plenty of vintage and retro vibes in the range of pre-loved clothes, shoes and accessories. From a washing machine to jeans, shopping at Emmaus Preston's social enterprise helps the charity provide a home, tailored support, training and work opportunities to people who have experienced homelessness. Your purchases, donations and support helps to change lives for people supported by Emmaus Preston, some of whom you may meet in store.
