Blackburn Gigs: Sara Leanne

Sara Leanne is a professional singer and pianist, based in Manchester, specialising in jazz, soul, R&B and contemporary folk music.

She has a huge amount of experience performing at weddings, events and hotels/restaurants across the UK.  Sara trained as a classical pianist and singer, and holds an ABRSM Grade 8 Distinction in both studies.  She went on to study music at King's College London where she graduated with a First Class BMus degree.  Soon after, Sara transferred her skills to popular music performance, and has worked closely with some of the top professional musicians across London, Manchester and Liverpool for over 10 years.

Sara recently began her own business which offers her smooth vocals not only as a solo performer, but also in the form of an acoustic duo, a jazz and blues act, and a vocal harmony collective.  Sara founded Smoke & Honey Jazz in 2019 and they are currently working on a show that celebrates the life and music of Eva Cassidy. Having spent most of her early adulthood immersed in contemporary vocal music, Sara has gone on to win numerous awards for her vocal arrangements across the UK, USA and Europe, and has worked with the BBC, Universal Music Group, VOCES8, Band on the Wall,Varsity Vocals USA, and more as arranger, performer, producer, and director.
