This November we're excited to introduce a new crafting workshop. This time we will be learning the basics of bookbinding and putting this into practice.
9 November - In the first workshop we will be folding our 'sets' of paper, piercing holes and stitching them together into a 'text block'. After this we will be prepping to add end papers and glue.
16 November - Continuing from the first workshop, we will be adding the end papers, reinforcing the spine and adding ribbon, before finishing off with the hardback.
If time is available, you will be able to decorate your finished book with personalised designs and fabrics. This is a great opportunity to learn a new crafting skill, meet new people and create something unique.

£5 per workshop or £9 if you book both. Booking is required as numbers are limited. To book please call or email the museum. You can pay in advance or on the day.
