Blackpool's South Pier is an action packed fun filled treat for all the family. Originally known as the Victoria Pier, it opened in 1893 and was renamed South Pier in 1930.
The pier now features numerous rides for all the family, the "adrenaline zone" for those seeking a bigger thrill (including the Skycoaster - a freefalling swing at a height of 124ft and the Skyscreamer - a reverse bungee ride along with the various arcades and game stalls.
The Laughing Donkey family bar features free live entertainment for all the family on weekends and during school holidays. Plus it is also a dedicated Sports Bar, showing all sports from football to darts, on the large screens inside AND outdoors in our huge beer garden overlooking the sea!
There are also some wonderful cafe's situated on the pier, including the Fish & Chip restaurant "The Happy Haddock" You can grab favourites such as fish and chips, pizza, sandwiches, pies or even just a hot chocolate.
Admission to the pier is totally FREE including all the entertainment in the family bar!
