South Pier

Blackpool's South Pier is an action packed fun filled treat for all the family. Originally known as the Victoria Pier, it opened in 1893 and was renamed South Pier in 1930.

The pier now features numerous rides for all the family, the "adrenaline zone" for those seeking a bigger thrill (including the Skycoaster - a freefalling swing at a height of 124ft and the Skyscreamer - a reverse bungee ride along with the various arcades and game stalls.

The Laughing Donkey family bar features free live entertainment for all the family on weekends and every night during school holidays. Plus you can catch live sport inside the bar on their eight big screens along with two huge LED screens in the beer gardens over looking the Irish sea!

Brand new this year is the lovely large Fish and Chip restaurant "The Happy Haddock" featuring fabulous food for all the family.

Admission to the pier is totally free including all the entertainment in the family bar!
