Originally three times its current size, the Corn Exchange was once a bustling marketplace and central meeting point for the people of Preston.  The building witnessed pivotal moments in local history, including the influential 1842 cotton workers’ protest, a legacy honoured today through its sister venue, 1842 Bar and Restaurant.  Today, only the original front entrance remains, now Grade II listed, standing as a proud reminder of nearly 200 years of heritage.  Steeped in history yet reimagined for modern celebrations, Ivory Tower continues this legacy of creativity and connection, breathing new life into a building rich with character.

As an exclusive-use venue, Ivory Tower caters for luxury weddings, private celebrations, award ceremonies, corporate events, training sessions and milestone parties throughout the year.  The spacious layout comfortably accommodates a minimum of 65 guests for a seated three-course meal, up to 140 for dining occasions, around 120 guests for an evening reception, and as many as 400 guests for larger celebrations and parties.  With flexible floor space, fixed seating and a powerful lighting and sound rig, it is perfectly suited to company awards ceremonies, celebratory events and impressive large-scale productions.  Conveniently located close to Preston railway station and with ample parking nearby, it provides an ideal city-centre setting for unforgettable occasions.
