This independent distillery is situated on Holmes Farm, nestled in the beautiful undulating landscape of rural Lancashire in the North West of England, in the charming, historical village of Brindle.
Holmes Farm has been in the Singleton family for over 100 years. The inspiration to add a distillery into the mix came one day as the family sat unwinding together after a long day on the farm, enjoying G&T’s. Housed in a renovated barn the distillery is home to Maggie, the delightful yet sophisticated 500 litre custom-built copper hybrid still distilling the finest handcrafted spirits.
The Cuckoo's Nest is their distillery bar where you can taste their range of award-winning Cuckoo Spirits. For non spirts drinkers premium lager and craft ales are available from an incredible selection of local brewery’s – Rivington Brewing, Three Bee’s Brewery and Black Edge Brewery to name but a few. They also offer a large selection of Cuckoo Cocktails, soft drinks and coffee. Moral of the story… there is something for everyone!
The brand-new food yard at The Cuckoo’s Nest, aptly named Peckish, offers a vibrant new casual dining experience, bringing together the best of local independent food vendors, committed to serving high quality food, all sourced locally. Leading the way is Meld, known for their delicious steaks sourced from Butcher Farrell's Meat Emporium and Fratelli's Pizzeria, who are serving up their signature wood-fired pizzas alongside traditional Italian street foods.
